Our Choose and Harvest Christmas tree experience is a great tradition for families young and old. Whether it’s riding the horse-drawn wagons into the field, warming up with hot chocolate and cookies in the barn, or choosing the perfect fresh Christmas tree, our customers return year after year to create great holiday memories with their families.
The farm is located about halfway between Cleveland and Columbus, only 10 minutes off Interstate 71 and Route 30 at Exit 176. Click on Maps/Directions below for more information.

Sugargrove Farm has a heritage that dates back to 1823. On the History Page, read about how our ancestors settled in Ohio and cultivated the land to build this farm that has been in our family for six generations. We are very proud that Sugargrove Farm has been recognized by the State of Ohio as a Century Farm.

Since 1984, many families have included a visit to Sugargrove Tree Farm in their Christmas season traditions. Many of their most delightful Christmas memories include the discovery of the perfect Christmas tree at our tree farm. Landscape Trees
Many homeowners have purchased trees from us to create wind breaks, privacy screens, or to plant a specimen evergreen in their yard. We offer White Pine, Norway Spruce, Colorado Blue Spruce, Fraser Fir, and Canaan Fir for planting. All sales are subject to availability. Click on the circle above for more information.
Historic Information/Family Farm
Sugargrove Farm has been a part of Ashland County history since 1823 with six generations of continuous family ownership and operation. Sugargrove Tree Farm was developed to provide an opportunity for future generations of this family to continue to contribute to Ohio’s rich agricultural traditions. Trees For Troops
We will be accepting donations for this wonderful cause. This year FedEx will deliver over 17,000 Christmas trees to service men & women at more than 35 bases throughout the U.S. This event is a partnership between the Christmas Spirit Foundation and FedEx
2020 Holiday Hours
We open for our 2020 Christmas tree sales season on Friday, November 27, and will close for business on Saturday, December 19.
We are open Friday, November 27, from 9 AM to 5 PM, Wednesday through Friday from 12 PM to 5 PM, Saturdays 9 AM to 5 PM, and Sundays from 11 AM to 4 PM.
